Some months before, any talks of Wade winning the MVP trophy would have been rubbished off. And why not, the Heats were being beaten with alarming consistency by teams all across the board. If Wade wanted a touch on the crystal ware, he first had to ensure that the Heats qualified for the Playoffs. That seemed to be a distant possibility at least three months before when the Heats were being knocked over by teams.

And then, there seemed to be an amazing turnaround in the offing. Match after match, the Heats powered by an awesome display of scoring and assists by Wade himself, produced victories one after another. Soon enough, it became amply clear that the Heats would be hot contenders for the playoffs. And yes, with all those victories, Wade was on his way to become an MVP, if not for the league then at least for the Heats.

The turning point for the deal really was Wade finishing a game with a season high of 41 points. Those 41 points in a sense had everyone standing up on their feet in unison and watch Wade's prowess in full flow. To be honest, most people who saw those 41 points would vouch for the fact that never ever before did they see anything like what they saw that day in the history of NBA, leave alone the league.

It is not that Wade has been showing this kind of game this season only. Way back in 2006, there were talks of him being crowned as the Most Valuable Player. Sadly for him, there were a couple of things that contributed to his inconsistency. For one, the opposition teams marked him heavily especially with a bulky guy at all times. Secondly, his long jump shoots just did not have the consistency. As a reason of all this, his name was taken in the league of Kobe Bryant or LeBrown James, but that really was all to it.

As on date, Wade has really ironed out any small flaws that were there in his game. His shooting talent has never been questioned at all. What is remarkable is the fact that he has been scoring well on the assists. His turnovers have been acceptable and yes, he has been in the defense line when it really required him to do so. Wade with his speed and stamina, has troubled all opposition teams. Wade of 2008, really has been a player in whom you would struggle to find a fault. If anything, he is just the perfect player now.

As the season almost comes to a close, Wade inches two steps closer to the MVP trophy, something he has never won before. Surely, it would be a moment to cherish for Wade. He along with most of us, are waiting for his name to be announced.
